Wangneng Energy completes testing of preventive test equipment in distribution room

Shantou Wangneng Energy Co., Ltd. is an environmentally friendly enterprise specializing in heat production and supply, with strong shareholder background and capabilities. The project is located on Jinshan Road, Xinan Town, Chenghai District, Shantou City, Guangdong Province. The test involved testing a 10kV distribution room, primarily involving one switchgear, one transformer, and one cable circuit. Musen Electric’s operations and maintenance department was commissioned to conduct preventive testing of the 10kV distribution room. The tests primarily included: a turns ratio test, insulation resistance measurement, a DC resistance test, and an AC withstand voltage test.

The test involved one switchgear, one transformer, and one cable circuit. The operations and maintenance team, wearing uniform work clothes, hard hats, and protective gear, and equipped with a complete set of preventive distribution room testing equipment, prepared to meticulously measure various parameters in the 10kV distribution room. Prior to the test, the operations and maintenance personnel developed a comprehensive test plan based on the site’s conditions, including personnel qualifications, the site environment, the test process, the equipment used, and on-site safety management measures. The test was conducted according to the predetermined plan and procedures, covering key steps such as the turns ratio test, insulation resistance measurement, DC resistance test, and AC withstand voltage test. During the test, professional personnel conducted a comprehensive inspection of the distribution room’s various performance indicators.

Typically, testing of a 10kV distribution room includes the following: Insulation resistance measurement: A 2500V megger is used to measure the transformer’s insulation resistance. DC resistance measurement: A DC resistance rapid tester is used to measure the DC resistance of each transformer winding. Turns ratio test: Checks whether the turns ratio of each transformer tap changer position meets the requirements. Withstand voltage test: The transformer undergoes a power frequency withstand voltage test, typically at 30kV for one minute. Surge arrester test: DC reference voltage measurement: A DC high-voltage generator is used to measure the arrester’s DC reference voltage.

 

Shantou Wangneng Energy completed the test using preventive test equipment in the distribution room. The 10kV distribution room preventive test equipment included: an MS-3126A insulation resistance tester, an MS-510R DC resistance tester, an MS-100B transformer ratio tester, an MSGK-E high-voltage switch dynamic characteristics tester, an MS-601G transformer comprehensive characteristics tester, an FCZ-III discharge needle counter tester, an MSHL-100A loop resistance tester, and a series resonance tester. At the measurement site, the operations and maintenance team members had clear division of labor and coordinated well. Some were responsible for instrument operation, some for data recording, and others for on-site safety supervision, ensuring the smooth progress of the entire measurement process. Our independently developed distribution room preventive test equipment is intelligent, portable, and highly efficient, enabling the operations and maintenance technical team to complete the test efficiently.

In addition, the team established an emergency response team to respond to potential emergencies and ensure the smooth progress of the measurement work. After a day of well-organized testing, the test was successfully completed. The test results show that the relevant electrical equipment in the distribution room meets all design requirements and relevant standards in terms of performance indicators. The distribution room can be put into safe and stable operation, providing reliable protection for the stable operation of the power system.
